Application Fee: $97 (non-refundable); this fee will be deducted from your tuition upon your acceptance into Cohort 2 of the DevelopHER Baltimore Program. 

There are NO REFUNDS for fees submitted.

  • Who is the DevelopHER Baltimore Program for?

    This 5-month immersive program is for Black and Brown women who currently live in and/or have an active business established in Baltimore, MD.

  • I'm a curious beginner. Is this program for me?

    Yes, this program is meant for the following 3 levels: those who are curious and just starting out; those who are serious and have made a decision to further their real estate interests; those who have completed a project and/or may have advanced their experience in real estate development.

  • I’ve already completed one or more real estate projects. Is this program for me?

    Yes, this program is meant for the following 3 levels: those who are curious and just starting out; those who are serious and have made a decision to further their real estate interests; those who have completed a project and/or may have advanced their experience in real estate development.

  • How much is the tuition for the DevelopHER Baltimore Program?

    This 5-month immersive program, originally valued at $25,000, was offered at $18,000 per person. LATEST UPDATE: Thanks to a recent sponsorship, Cohort 2 tuition is now only $13,500!

  • I’m interested in the Program. How do I become eligible for Cohort 2?

    You must complete the application process to become eligible for the program. The application process has 3 critical steps to complete: 1.) secure the non-refundable application fee, 2.) submit the application, and 3.) submit the pre-assessment. All three steps must be completed in full by the deadline (see info above). Partial applications will not be considered.

  • How much is the application fee?

    The application fee is $97 USD, and must be secured before access to the application. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Your $97 application fee will be deducted from your tuition upon acceptance into Cohort 2 of the DevelopHER Baltimore Program

  • If I apply and then change my mind, can I get a refund of my application fee if I decide to not continue the process?

    All fees and/or funds received are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • What are the main focus areas of the DevelopHER Baltimore Program?

    KNOWLEDGE: Through in-class instruction and hands-on training, participants will learn a variety of real estate development strategies and obtain the knowledge to intentionally build or expand their real estate development portfolio. ACCESS & AWARENESS: Participants will journey through community-focused real estate development experiences by learning various incentives, funding and programs for a positive impact for developers, tenants and future homebuyers. RESOURCES: Participants will receive guided access to diverse capital options to support the execution or expansion of their real estate portfolios through education and acquisition of their property redevelopment phase.

  • Will the DevelopHER Baltimore Program take place in person or virtually?

    We’re excited to share that our class will meet twice a week in a hybrid format. One night will be in-person and the other night will be virtual. The in-person classes will be held at a location in Baltimore City. To qualify for this program you must be a Baltimore City and/or Baltimore County resident and/or have an active business in Baltimore City and/or Baltimore County.

  • How long is the program?

    The DevelopHER Baltimore Program is a 5-month program. This program includes a Billion Dollar Yes We Can Panel (Black and Brown Developers), O’Hara Developments Vacants Tour and Pitch Competition. The program concludes with an in-person Graduation.

  • When will the program officially begin?

    The DevelopHER Baltimore Program will begin with Orientation in January 2025 and will conclude with a Graduation in May 2025.

  • How long is each class? How much time should I dedicate to the program per week?

    During the course of a 5-month period classes will be held 2x per week. That’s a total of almost 40 classes. Each class is approximately 2 hours in length. We recommend that you dedicate 5 - 10 hours per week to this program.

  • What technology do I need to complete this program?

    For the best experience, you will need a computer with the latest version of a web browser and internet access. Basic to intermediate computer skills and access to presentation software (ex: Google Slides, Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.) are also recommended. We use Zoom for our virtual learning platform, which is best supported in Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

  • Who is the lead facilitator of the program?

    The Lead Facilitator of the DevelopHER Baltimore Program is Joanna Jane Bartholomew. Known as an Economic Change Agent, Joanna Jane is the CEO & Founder of O'Hara Development Partners. She combines her experience as a Social Worker with her passion for financial education to help individuals achieve success. After years under the real estate arm of her father, Joanna Jane took her gifts from social work and finance to birth O'Hara Development Partners, a community development company that focuses on the heart of the people and the quality of their living by restoring and building by restoring properties in urban communities.

  • Is there an investment for the program?

    Yes. The tuition for this immersive, 5-month real estate program includes a variety of private pay options, including third-party financing. More information will be sent directly to those who apply. All payments will be processed digitally, or certified cashier's checks may be received in person only. Please note that personal checks will not be accepted.
